About Filter Magazine

How do I subscribe? How much does it cost?
There are two ways to get Filter to your front door.

You can send a check or money order for $24.95 (5 issues) to: Filter Magazine 5908 Barton Ave. Los Angeles, CA 90038 

Or you can subscribe by paypal or using a credit card in the magazine section  

I don't live in the US. Can I still subscribe?
Unfortunately, subscriptions are for US residents only. We cannot ship to other countries at this point.
Filter is currently available on newsstands in the UK, France, Italy, The Netherlands, Japan, Canada, Mexico, South America, Australia, and New Zealand.

How do I purchase back issues? How much do they cost?
Back issues are available online at the Filter Store.
You can also purchase back issues by sending a cashiers check or money order for $9.95 per issue to: Filter Magazine 5908 Barton Ave. Los Angeles, CA 90038 323-464-4217 Please identify the issue you want by the cover artist.

Can I buy Filter as a gift?
Of course, just let us know the address you would like it going to and we will make sure it gets there.

How do I get on the Filter email newsletter?
All you need to do is go to the newsletter page on this site and enter your email address.

How do I get off the filter email newsletter list?
Just enter your email address in the newsletter section and click unsubscribe. PLEASE BE SURE TO ENTER YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS THE SAME WAY YOU ORIGINALLY ENTERED IT. IF YOUR EMAIL IS STILL NOT UNSUBSCRIBED PLEASE EMAIL US AT info@filtermmm.com AND WE WILL MANUALLY REMOVE YOU.

I am a store. How do I carry the magazine?
We are available to retailers through IPD. If you would like to purchase directly from us, please email info@filtermmm.com

When will I get my issues?
When you order your subscription will determine when your first issues arrives. The deadline for subscriptions is about one month before each magazine release date:
The deadline to receive the Winter Issue is January 14 (Winter Issue out February 16)
The deadline to receive the Spring Issue is March 17 (Spring Issue out April 27)
The deadline to receive the Summer Issue is June 1 (Summer Issue out July 6)
The deadline to receive the Fall Issue is August 1 (Fall Issue out September 7)
The deadline to receive the Holiday Issue is October 15 (Holiday Issue out November 23)

How do I change my address?
No problem, just email matt@filtermmm.com and we will take care of it.

I never got my issue of Filter. What do I do?
Don't panic. We know it's frustrating but we will make good. Email matt@filtermmm.com and we will look into the problem.

Where can I purchase a single copy of Filter Magazine?
Filter Magazine is currently available for sale at Urban Outfitters, Virgin Megastores, Barnes and Noble, Borders, Bookstar, independent music retailers, and select newsstands nationwide.

How can I help promote cool bands like the ones covered in Filter Magazine?
Filter has a National promotion team dedicated to promoting the artists we all love. If you're interested in being a Filter rep, tell us where you live, at:  connie@filtermmm.com

How do I get to write for the magazine and the website?

I would like to take pictures or create illustrations for the magazine. Who do I contact?
Photographers: Please note that we are not recruiting live performance photographers. If you have a portfolio of portraits (band or otherwise) and/or fashion work, please email your professional website address or any promos to Photo Editor Andrea LaBarge  Andrea@filter-mag.com and CC: Art Director Christopher Saltzman christopher@filter-mag.com  Mailed promos can be sent to the address below. We do not accept portfolio drop-offs, so if you are requesting a portfolio review and meeting you may do so in your email.
