Late night political pundit and comedic mastermind Stephen T. Colbert has decided to grace the world with his first Christmas album, A Colbert Christmas: The Greatest Gift of All.  Fans of the Colbert Report will not be surprised by this musical release given Stephen's affinity for singing with his guests.  The album will contain music by John Legend, Toby Keith, Feist, Willie Nelson, Elvis Costello and Jon Stewart. The music was all written by Fountains of Wayne bassist Adam Schlesinger and Daily Show executive producer David Javerbaum.

The songs will be released digitally through iTunes on November 25 but can first be heard on an hour-long Colbert Report special, "A Colbert Christmas: The Greatest Gift of All" on November 23.  The special will later be released on DVD for a delightful stocking stuffer.
