Bright Eyes Tops US Charts

The top two slots on the Billboard 100 singles chart in the U.S. are currently being filled by none other than indie-darling Bright Eyes. That’s right, the first single from each of Bright Eyes’ two forthcoming albums are making it big.

“Lua”, from I’m Wide Awake It’s Morning, is at Number One, and “Take It Easy (Love Nothing),” from Digital Ash In A Digital Urn, is at Number Two. It is the first time in seven years that one artist owns the top two spots, the previous mastermind being Puff Daddy. Both albums are set to be released January 24, 2005. Bright Eyes will spend the rest of November touring Europe with Simon Joyner.
