COLUMN: You Are The Shopper
by David Iskra | 00.00.0000

Remember that long dry period when you thought you might never hear from Moz ever again? He would book tours, then cancel the night of. The whispers about a new album always turned out to be false. It seems those days are gone. Apparently Morrissey was hard at work somewhere in Los Angeles and now we get to feast on the fruits of his
depressed labor.

First we got You Are the Quarry, then a whole load of singles with actual b-sides. Let's be honest, there are about three artist living right now that actually give their fans proper quality when it comes to overpriced import singles and Moz is one of them.

Then he made it easy for his fans to grab all those B-sides in one fell swoop with the deluxe re-issue of Quarry. Just in time for the holidays Santa Moz is putting out "I Have Forgiven Jesus" as his next single. Its great that he is forgiving him just time for his birthday, thats the holiday spirit! The single will contain the bonus tracks "Slum Mums" and "The Public Image" which you can bet the carolers will be singing at your doorstep on a cold December night.

But wait, thats not all! 2005 has more for Morrissey fans to look forward to! On Feb 22nd, Attack Records will release Morrissey's Live From The Earl's Court on CD and a DVD titled Who Put the "M" in Manchester. Looks like you won't have anything to be miserable about until 2006. Oh and Johnny Marr and Mr. M have given permission for a Smiths musical using 20 Smiths songs but we don't want to ruin your holiday buzz.
