Filter SXSW Day 2 Recap & Sat Headliner Revealed!

For those of you who have not gotten your shit together enough to check out or podcasts from the "don't mess with..." state, Filter's Revenge of Cedar Street parties have been one stop shopping for good ol' Texas BBQ, Shiners and Rock & Roll mayhem.

Friday morning at Cedar Street Courtyard welcomed our music bloggers friends who dragged themselves out of bed to hit Cedar Street Courtyard for the 1st Annual Blogger Brunch - breakfast tacos & beer - hosted by the Filter Music Alliance. DJ sets from Gorilla vs Bear & Music For Robots got the morning off to a smooth start, and the brunch ended with the big announcement of who was voted "Blogger Of The Year". Big congratulations to Chris Cantalini (GorillavsBear) who scored the winning votes from his peers, and walked away with an M-Audio Digital Recorder and a Wayne Coyne-signed poster congratulating for being "Blogger Of The Year"!

Friday afternoon's performances got off to a great start with Illinois hitting the stage with fervor, Silversun Pickups packing the courtyard, Magnet lulling everyone into ecstatic reverie, Earlimart getting us into a groove, The Elected putting in a rousing cowboy set, and then Leila Moss-led The Duke Spirit hitting the stage with such spark that the whole place erupted!

Tomorrow is the final day, so don't miss out on the spectacle that is Revenge at Cedar Street. The UK takes over on Saturday with the line up
