Bob Mould Teams Up With Fugazi Drummer
by Staff | 00.00.0000

Bob Mould has been busy in the studio finishing up the tracks for his latest solo album, along with Fugazi drummer Brendan Canty. The Husker Du/Sugar frontman has been collaborating with Canty on 14 tracks for his as yet untitled follow up to Body Of Song.

Speaking in an interview with Billboard, Mould described the upcoming album as "the logical extension of Body of Song, - lots of guitars, shorter pop songs. There's a couple of down things that are a little more loop-based. It's Brendan's opinion that it's a little more somber than the last record. He was like, 'This is some serious stuff!'"

The album is due to be released in June, to allow Canty to tour with Mould in the fall.

The duo are also working on a live DVD entitled Circle Of Friends, featuring a Mould live show from Washington D.C.’s 9:30 Club. The DVD will be produced by Canty’s production company, Trixie.
