
Filter's Top 10 of 2006, Day Nineteen: Isobel Campbell Continuing our trend of chanteuses, Isobel Campbell was one of the founding members seminal Scottish indie-poppers Belle & Sebastian. When not busy playing cello and singing in the band she found time to release two albums under the name The Gentle Waves. After leaving B&S in 2002 she released her debut solo album Amorino. After lying low for a couple of years she collaborated with former Queens of the Stone Age singer Mark Lanegan on the Mercury Music Prize nominated Ballad of the Broken Seas.
