Filter's Top 10 of 2006, Day Twenty: Metric Today’s first list comes from Canada’s Metric. While Metric the band have had a relatively quiet year following 2005’s Live It Out, the individual members have been very busy! Emily Haines put out a solo record, entitled Knives Don’t Have Your Back, while the others returned to the studio to plan Metric’s next record. Here are the albums that they enjoyed this year: Metric TV On The Radio, Return To Cookie Mountain (Interscope) Justin Timberlake, FutureSex/LoveSounds (Jive) Gnarls Barkley, St. Elsewhere (Downtown) Sonic Youth, Rather Ripped (Geffen) Subtle, For Hero: For Fool (Astralwerks) Cat Power, The Greatest (Matador) Islands, Return To The Sea (Equator) Hot Chip, The Warning (Astralwerks) The Flaming Lips, At War With The Mystics (Warner Bros) The Gossip, Standing In The Way Of Control (Kill Rock Stars) | ![]() |
