Chestnuts roasting on an open fire, Jack Frost biting at your nose… Once again, this special time of year is upon us; a time for sharing, a time for love and a time for sharing your love of music! Top Ten season is officially open and Filter has got you all hooked up!

Filter has been polling our favorite artists non-stop to find out what’s been rocking their boats this year, whether it’s been a major label debut or a self released limited pressing, we’ll be presenting their much loved picks of the year each day in December. 2-3 new lists will be added each day so be sure to check back regular to see what your favorite musician plays on the tourbus / rocks on the iPod / sings in the shower.

As an added bonus, you’ll also get the Filter Top Ten, where we hunker down and go through all the best releases of the year and try to decide which one deserves the accolade of Filter’s Favorite Album of 2006. Of course, the usual rules apply - it has to have been released domestically during ’06 – and we’ll all be duking it out to see our individual favorites at the top of the list.
