K.C. quintet Doris Henson is out to put their Heartland hometown on the musical map with their debut album Give Me All Your Money, out on March 21 on DeSoto Records.

Their single "The Day Is Done" is an oddly perfect mix of early Cure, as fronted by a young Michael Stipe, with occasional trombone blasts. You'll have to click below to hear what I'm talking about. The band will shoot down I-35 to make the the scene at SXSW, where they'll hope to mesmerize the masses with their album of delicate vocals and lazy guitars.
