After a stunning and highly-talked about performance at Live 8 (which I only saw a modicum of on TV from the intimate setting of my living room), Coldplay once again gives us something to whet our appetites for what’s sure to be the biggest tour of the fall. As their tires hit US pavement (at a major city near you), their video for the new single "Fix You" hits the internet and on your computer for your viewing pleasure.

Directed by Sophie Muller, whose directorial credits include Blur, Garbage, PJ Harvey, Weezer (and also responsible for the Coldplay video ‘Trouble’), Chris Martin takes us on a scenic tour of a quiet night in London; the calm before the storm of fans he reaches by the end of the video.
