As most of Filter is out gallivanting around the streets of Austin raising hell and seeing kickass rock and roll, somebody has to hold down the forts. That’s where I, Leslie, kick in. As I sit here day dreaming of delicious BBQ and warm humid Texas nights, I decided to spend some time waxing with my M Audio Micro-Track Recorder at what my don’t-miss shows would have been. From the timeless, romantic singer songwriter tunes by Jose Gonzalez, beautiful, electronically laced tunes by Adelaide’s Clue To Kalo to the rugged, oversexed beats provided by Baltimore’s Spank Rock, I’ve done my own little personal SXSW cheat sheet for anyone who’s ready to take some chances this year.
