In all of the chaos that ensued during Filter’s first day of SXSW festivities, Dani (aka Boo), Gur (Resident Pearl Jam fan), and Australia’s finest export since Fosters, Penny, ran around chasing bands and getting the lowdown on highlights of this year’s festival. They sat down with members of the bands The Cribs, Metric, Elefant, and Duels (who performed their first US show ever!) and got an inside look from the artist’s perspective into the magic of SXSW…and where to get good ‘cue. With exclusive live clips of the day's performances, here’s the rundown on what happened on day one of the three day bonanza known as Cedar Street Showdown.
