Rapture Touring With BRMC

Dance/punk phenom the Rapture are hitting the touring circuit, but they won’t be doing it alone. Joining them is Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and their distinctive brand of sheogazer-meets-psychedelic rock. This collaborative jaunt through the states--which commences March 30--won’t be the only time these bands will be sharing a venue this year, since both are also scheduled to perform at the Coachella Festival. Both groups also recently released new full-length records, and will be supporting their respective efforts on the upcoming tour. Take Them On, On Your Own, released September of last year, is BRMC’s latest endeavor, while the Rapture gave us their full-length debut Echoes in October.

The Rapture have been hailed as the progenitors of the “post-punk” revival. BRMC faced similar expectations, albeit of a different, more retro set, with their self-titled debut in 2001. Both have also amassed huge followings in a relatively short period of time.
