Lollapalooza to Include Moz, M. Mouse, Lips
by Lesley Bargar | 00.00.0000

For the first time ever, Lollapalooza will be a two-day festival of music in 2004. Due to an overwhelming number of artists wanting to be involved, Perry Farrell and other Lollapalooza organizers have decided to extend the nine-year-old alternative music festival from it’s usual one-day format, making it the world’s first touring multi-day festival.

Among the headliners confirmed for Lollapalooza 2004 are Morrissey, String Cheese Incident, Sonic Youth, Flaming Lips, Modest Mouse and Polyphonic Spree, and a rotating series of smaller bands will be gracing the side stage throughout the tour.

In addition, lower ticket prices have been adopted for this year’s show, giving more the opportunity to join in the event.

In a recent release, Perry Farrell says, “This summer, Lollapalooza will embody the spirit of Gypsy! Our buses of artisans sleeping over in each and every city will spread the sense of exhilaration. The days and nights will be filled with mischief.”

As usual, the festival will include various booths where concert-goers can experience games, learn about new technology and gain political and environmental awareness.
