The very estute staff at Plug have created this year's most awesome "Best Of" ballot. Featuring nominees like yours truly, Filter Magazine, as well as Tom Waits, Arcade Fire, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Bloc Party, and TV On The Radio, the ballot has categories spanning from best album to best music magazine. Plug has created the independent alternative to any other "Best Of" list you've seen yet.

Plug's manifesto explains it all: There are incredible records released by independent labels and artists every year. We fans pledge our devotion by making mix tapes, squeezing into cramped venues, sharing MP3s, sporting our concert T's...even getting into the biz. For us, these records are vital, relevant, revolutionary, even tectonic-shifting. PLUG is about the independent community coming together to celebrate its own.

February 10 2005, Plug will host the Plug Independent Music Awards show, featuring nominees and winners from the voting process at NYC's historic Webster Hall.
