Coachella Headliners Rumoured
by Danielle Allaire | 00.00.0000

The headlining slots for the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, arguably the most important (and fun... and hot) US festival, have been the focus of several eager fans in the past weeks since sources rumoured other bands to be playing the festival.

Filter can report that in addition to rumours of David Bowie, ...Trail Of Dead and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs being locked into the 2-day stable of rock acts, the two biggest rock bands in the world have been mentioned as headlining acts.

Unnamed sources have stated that both U2 and Coldplay will be the co-healiners for the May festival. Neither the U2 or Coldplay camps have sent out an official word on this "rumour." The Coachella website has not been updated since last year's line up was finalised.

However tight lipped the promoters and bands may be, the headliner title to U2 and Coldplay makes sense. With U2 set to do a huge world tour after the almost instant success of their twelfth studio album How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb, and Coldplay's upcoming release of their new album, this seems to be a match made for Coachella.

The festival have not yet set a date for the initial line-up to be announced.
