Initial SXSW Line Up Announced

The ninth annual South by Southwest music festival line up has been issued. Veteran performers Billy Idol, Robyn Hitchcock and Aimee Mann, join contemporary acts from across the globe, including Denmark's The Raveonettes, New York's Ambulance LTD, Toronto's Death From Above 1979 and the Leeds-based Kaiser Chiefs.

More acts are said to be announced in the coming weeks for the Austin-based festival set to run March 11-20th. Registration is discounted 21% until January 14th on the official SXSW website.
