French Kicks Record Third Album French Kicks, have announced that they are heading into the studio in February to record their next full length album. Early demos prove that this will be their masterpiece; luckily, (in their label's estimation at least) it will be more spiritually akin to London Calling and less OK Computer in the pantheon of classic third albums. The band will re-team with their 2004 The Trial of the Century producer, Doug Boehm (Guided By Voices, Saves The Day, The Vines) at Bomb Shelter Studios in downtown Los Angeles. A summer 2006 release is planned. "Josh Wise and I have written a lot of music over the last few months and weve now narrowed it down to about 15 or 16 songs for this next record," says vocalist and drummer Nick Stumpf. "Were thrilled to spend some of the winter in LA and we hope to actually get outside while were there." The band have carved out these recoridng goals: recording 16 songs in three weeks and spending down time getting sun as ambitious. Stay tuned for many more exciting details. | ![]() |
