"Weird Al" Fundraiser Yes, you read that correctly. A fundraiser is being held for the creator of “Amish Paradise” and “It’s All About the Pentiums.” Tuesday, April 11th at the Mint in Los Angeles, The Joe Lavelle BIG Rock ‘n’ Roll Comedy Show is presenting ”I Think I’m A Clone Now”, an “Al”-star tribute to ”Weird Al” Yankovic to help raise the $15,000 necessary for his Hollywood Walk of Fame star nomination. The evening will feature performances by a line-up of top comedy songwriters including Joe Lavelle, Throwing Toasters, Hard and Phirm, Evan Wecksell, Raymond and Scum, and many others. “The primary purpose of the benefit show is to bring public attention to the fact that ‘Weird Al’ Yankovich still does not have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame,” says comedian and organizer Joe Lavelle. All of the proceeds from cover charges will be donated to the Weird Al Star Fund that was set up by a fan. | ![]() |
