Filter's Top 10 of 2006, Day Nineteen: Tracyanne Campbell of Camera Obscura
by Staff & Tracyanne Campbell | 00.00.0000

Tracyanne Campbell is the sweet, sweet 60's-style pop voice of Glaswegian indie-poppers Camera Obscura. When the band first hit the scene in the late 90's they were disregard by many as a poor man's Belle & Sebastian. However earlier this year the band released their third album Let's Get Out of This Country via Merge Records and everyone is now taking notice. Where once they had a wispy, twee sound they've now replaced it with a more full on motown-inspired rock sound complete with sweeping strings and angelic vocals.
