Noise Pop Artists Announced

San Francisco's most awesomest annual music festival (incidentally, it may be the only one), Noise Pop is getting all dolled up for 2004, installment number 12 in a long line of illustrious indie extravaganzas. This year's "jam-packed week of music, film, education, culture, beer, and more music" (yeah, that sounds a little too perfect... could it be a trap set by the editors of Fader? Those scamps are always coming up with some sort of scheme...) is scheduled for Feb. 24 - 29. But boy have we got news for you! News, I tell you! Filter got a line on a few early confirmations, and we want to share.

So far, the word is: Super Furry Animals, Low, Dillinger Escape Plan, Trachtenberg Family Slideshow Players, Sage Francis, the Detroit Cobras, Denali, John Vanderslice, the Locust, Trans Am, Gold Chains, and a newly reunited American Music Club. Again, it sounds a little fishy. Now where's a group of meddling kids and a cartoon dog when you need 'em?
