The Flaming Lips Complete Christmas On Mars, Preview New Track

After more than seven years in the making, the Flaming Lips film, Christmas On Mars, has finally been completed.  The flick stars bandmates Michael Ivans and frontman Wayne Coyne as alien super-heroes, and will no doubt feature the same sort of quirky, eccentric concepts the Oklahoma quartet houses in their music.

Coyne and co. are currently screening the film at several local and international music festivals, including the recent Sasquatch Fest, with hopes for a public release in time for the holiday season.  Additionally, the band has a brand new track titled "Cosmic Trigger 2" that will be featured on the soundtrack for Okie Noodling II out on DVD July 14.  Don't forget to catch The Flaming Lips paying homage to The Who on VH1 Rock Honors July 17.
